The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The goalie picked down the ball without great difficulties. 17 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Hampus Hammarström came free, but Baxter Baba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Nykvarn's zone, Carmichael Tinsley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michel Kinell came out of the goal and Carmichael Tinsley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Nykvarn booed when Australian Youth Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Austmann Lucas didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaká Fenomeno in the 23rd minute of play forced Australian Youth Academy's goalkeeper Baxter Baba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carmichael Tinsley's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 26thth minute, Michel Kinell skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Nykvarn fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 28th minute. Penalty! Michel Kinell went to the wrong direction when Austmann Lucas was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Carmichael Tinsley's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Michel Kinell read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Australian Youth Academy were awarded a corner in the 34th minute after Nykvarn's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Austmann Lucas took the corner. The supporters of Australian Youth Academy booed when Nykvarn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fritz Hake didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ben Minton came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Australian Youth Academy fans jumped to their feet. When John Daly fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nykvarn's protests and gave John Daly a yellow card for diving instead. In the 42nd match minute, Nykvarn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fritz Hake to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Australian Youth Academy's Austmann Lucas tried to score from far away in the 42nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Hampus Hammarström hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. John Daly was the one to do the kick off. In the 64thth minute of the game Carmichael Tinsley who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nykvarn's Michel Kinell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Carmichael Tinsley's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Michel Kinell was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Carmichael Tinsley managed to get in a good position for a shot. There was no doubt that Australian Youth Academy were the better team. Australian Youth Academy's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
