In the 15th minute Cesare Di Loreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnulfo Nataniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Arnoldo Weterio fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cachiyuyo EAS's protests and gave Arnoldo Weterio a yellow card for diving instead. Romulo Quirce was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 37 minutes into the match. After 36 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cachiyuyo EAS! In the 38th minute there was a penalty for Squadra de Pippe. Bengi Rana stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Arnulfo Nataniel. 1-2. Arnulfo Nataniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cesare Di Loreto in the 43rd minute of play. Cesare Di Loreto spun around in front of the goal 43 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Cachiyuyo EAS's goal. After 45 played minutes Squadra de Pippe got a freekick which was hit by Ciro Ferrante. Ciro Ferrante hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After the first half Squadra de Pippe were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 54th match minute, Squadra de Pippe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrea Cianci to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Anfilogino Gaeta kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Arnulfo Nataniel. That made the score 1-3 in the 56 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfonso Iori got free with Arnulfo Nataniel in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 61 minutes, Melquiades Hulberto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cachiyuyo EAS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Melquiades Hulberto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Javier Ostots fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anthony Volpe having to interfere. In the 84th minute Melquiades Hulberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anthony Volpe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eustacio Txindoki hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Arnulfo Nataniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cesare Di Loreto in the 96th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Squadra de Pippe eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
