The crowd rose to their feet as Viento Norte FC's Mauro Ignado slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jarbas Marques. That made the score 1-0 after 33 minutes of play. Placido Bastia's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Jarbas Marques skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
