A collision led to Plaza Jewell getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Hugo Valentine hit a great ball. Henrik Vervaet took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 17th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Manuel Pirmin. Plaza Jewell's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 19 played minutes All Stars Gent got a freekick which was hit by Henrik Vervaet. In the 21st minute, Nel Nelleboedske hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd minute, one of All Stars Gent:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for All Stars Gent. In the 25th minute there was a penalty for Plaza Jewell. Gaston Galsino stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Yvan Poets. 0-1. With a little luck, Plaza Jewell's Manuel Pirmin got control of the ball when Estevan Meenen tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, All Stars Gent's Estevan Meenen got a free kick in the 31st minute. Yvan Poets showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narciso Matro in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Nel Nelleboedske hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 36 minutes into the match, Gaston Galsino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yvan Poets. All Stars Gent's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gaston Galsino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Estevan Meenen in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manuel Pirmin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Plaza Jewell's zone, Joe Marrant stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Pirmin came out of the goal and Joe Marrant tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Plaza Jewell were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Estevan Meenen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, All Stars Gent's Estevan Meenen made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manuel Pirmin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nel Nelleboedske received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Manuel Pirmin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 58 minutes, Estevan Meenen made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Plaza Jewell's Manuel Pirmin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Domingo Fidensio kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Silvestre Urtun got free with Yvan Poets in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Yvan Poets was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 78 minutes had been played when some careless play by Plaza Jewell's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Henrik Vervaet was slow to take the kick. During this time All Stars Gent's players had a chance to rest. Theo Vandendriessche made a great header on All Stars Gent's corner, it was just that Plaza Jewell's Manuel Pirmin managed to reach the ball for a save.
