But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Czeslaw Skarpiak couldn't finish the play. In the 8th minute, Jean-Yves Paturel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Les diables noirs fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. If Czeslaw Skarpiak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mikolaj Motyl hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Stefan Awizo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean-Yves Paturel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Czeslaw Skarpiak's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kevan Grange read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. If Czeslaw Skarpiak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kevan Grange showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juliusz Dziura, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute, Tadeusz Domarecki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jean-Yves Paturel struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Stefan Awizo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Les diables noirs. In the 29th minute, Les diables noirs's Gustave Pierrel dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Juliusz Dziura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Stefan Awizo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfried Lépinay, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 39 minutes into the game, Wilfried Lépinay recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Stefan Awizo. Wilfried Lépinay showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Stefan Awizo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilfried Lépinay in the 42nd minute of play. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Autolycus's goalkeeper Stefan Awizo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Wasyl Karaszkiewicz fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Autolycus's protests and gave Wasyl Karaszkiewicz a yellow card for diving instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wilfried Lépinay to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Gustave Pierrel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Les diables noirs's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustave Pierrel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kryspin Jurgiel hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Les diables noirs's Kevan Grange played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juliusz Dziura in the 55th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Les diables noirs's zone, Czeslaw Skarpiak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kevan Grange came out of the goal and Czeslaw Skarpiak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Czeslaw Skarpiak hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. 65 minutes into the match, Czeslaw Skarpiak had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kevan Grange. Les diables noirs's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Czeslaw Skarpiak was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Stefan Awizo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustave Pierrel in the 68th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Jean-Yves Paturel made a precise shot to the right of Stefan Awizo. FC Autolycus's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. An unexpected shot in the 72nd minute by Czeslaw Skarpiak got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustave Pierrel in the 74th minute of play forced FC Autolycus's goalkeeper Stefan Awizo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the game, Les diables noirs's Wilfried Lépinay nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stefan Awizo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfried Lépinay in the 84th minute of play forced FC Autolycus's goalkeeper Stefan Awizo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC Autolycus's zone, Gustave Pierrel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stefan Awizo came out of the goal and Gustave Pierrel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stefan Awizo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfried Lépinay, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Les diables noirs's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
