Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 17th minute, Generoso Indalecio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute Ermengol Cabrales shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gualterio Socorro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gualterio Socorro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ermengol Cabrales, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Lapurdi Collazo kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Froilan Sedeni kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Nouvelle Vague's goal looked a bit too open when Ermengol Cabrales came free, but Gualterio Socorro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ramón Gayday kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. When Froilan Ederono came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Nouvelle Vague fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Froilan Ederono couldn't finish the play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ovidio Argi made a kick off. CD Municipal's Lapurdi Collazo got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Nouvelle Vague's zone, Lapurdi Collazo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gualterio Socorro came out of the goal and Lapurdi Collazo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gualterio Socorro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lapurdi Collazo in the 57th minute. Lapurdi Collazo might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gualterio Socorro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lapurdi Collazo ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of CD Municipal booed when Nouvelle Vague was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anastasio Vitin didn't get a good kick on the ball. CD Municipal's Cedro Villaelrriego got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. CD Municipal's Sagrario Paniagua played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Froilan Ederono in the 69th minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Nouvelle Vague's goal looked a bit too open when Ermengol Cabrales came free, but Gualterio Socorro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Nouvelle Vague's Alfredo Tripodi got a free kick in the 78th minute. 79 minutes into the match, CD Municipal's Cedro Villaelrriego broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 81 minutes into the game, Froilan Ederono cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Sagrario Paniagua was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Palle Tazon in the 85th minute of play forced Nouvelle Vague's goalkeeper Gualterio Socorro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Nouvelle Vague getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Rene Johans hit a great ball. When Palle Tazon came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the CD Municipal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Palle Tazon couldn't finish the play. Gualterio Socorro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lapurdi Collazo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gualterio Socorro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ermengol Cabrales, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
