Luís Fabiano Freire in the 3rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Pelayo Vazquez, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Nahia Sierra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nahia Sierra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luiz Fabiano Mello having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Nahia Sierra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luiz Fabiano Mello was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. If Nahia Sierra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Fabiano Mello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eutropio Harroyo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Los Colegas del Barrio's Pelayo Vazquez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Los Colegas del Barrio from getting a goal against them. Antonio Canal charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antonio Canal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Los Colegas del Barrio getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Antonio Canal hit a great ball. Los Colegas del Barrio's Pelayo Vazquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fabiano Freire in the 31st minute of play. Los Colegas del Barrio's Pelayo Vazquez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Los Colegas del Barrio from getting a goal against them. Nahia Sierra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Los Colegas del Barrio's zone, Luís Fabiano Freire stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pelayo Vazquez came out of the goal and Luís Fabiano Freire tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 42 played minutes Los Colegas del Barrio got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Canal. 44 minutes into the game, Nahia Sierra cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Luiz Fabiano Mello was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 54 played minutes FLA MQ BRASIL got a freekick which was hit by Dito Fantini. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Canal in the 58th minute of play forced FLA MQ BRASIL's goalkeeper Luiz Fabiano Mello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, FLA MQ BRASIL's Dito Fantini got a free kick in the 59th minute. Luiz Fabiano Mello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cordarin Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 66 minutes into the match, Los Colegas del Barrio's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fabiano Freire came free, but Pelayo Vazquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luiz Fabiano Mello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nahia Sierra in the 75th minute of play. The Los Colegas del Barrio fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when Los Colegas del Barrio's Nahia Sierra looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Los Colegas del Barrio made a substitution. Frodo Quintero replaced Leo Dorado. Pelayo Vazquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Fabiano Freire in the 82nd minute of the match. A hard shot 85 in the game by Nahia Sierra from a close distance when the talented Luiz Fabiano Mello managed to make a qualified save. FLA MQ BRASIL's players were relieved. Nahia Sierra who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 89thth minute tested the skills of Luiz Fabiano Mello when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Nahia Sierra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Los Colegas del Barrio supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Los Colegas del Barrio would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
