After a rather tough play, Formation Pure Lyonnaise's Pascal Collon got a free kick in the 12th minute. Luiz Fabiano Gøl recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 17 minutes into the match, Divina Comédia FC's goalkeeper Cristian Peres had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martin Falaise. After taking down the ball on Formation Pure Lyonnaise's corner Gaspard Letourneux fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cristian Peres quite easily take care of the ball. Nelson Cloarec showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Fabiano Gøl, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd match minute, Formation Pure Lyonnaise was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pascal Collon to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdir da Silva in the 26th minute of play forced Formation Pure Lyonnaise's goalkeeper Nelson Cloarec to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Peres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Davy Giacomoni, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. A collision led to Formation Pure Lyonnaise getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Pascal Collon hit a great ball. Valdir da Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelson Cloarec having to interfere. Nelson Cloarec showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aloísio Chulapa in the 35th minute of the match. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Davy Giacomoni was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Formation Pure Lyonnaise getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Mohamed-Ali Duparc hit a great ball. In the 52nd minute, Luiz Fabiano Gøl reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nelson Cloarec. The goal made the score 1-2. If Aloísio Chulapa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 66th minute of the match Aloísio Chulapa completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Aloísio Chulapa a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 67th minute, Aloísio Chulapa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nelson Cloarec made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Dedê Cerezo sent off a good shot on target. Divina Comédia FC's Cristian Peres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davy Giacomoni in the 76th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Divina Comédia FC's zone, Davy Giacomoni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristian Peres came out of the goal and Davy Giacomoni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 84 minutes, Luiz Fabiano Gøl mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Divina Comédia FC and the Formation Pure Lyonnaise players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Formation Pure Lyonnaise booed when Divina Comédia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fabiano Gøl didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute Luiz Fabiano Gøl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelson Cloarec saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Peres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davy Giacomoni in the 90th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Divina Comédia FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
