Valdomiro Nunes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Alfredinho Macedo charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfredinho Macedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 19 played minutes New England Patriots got a freekick which was hit by Alfredinho Macedo. In the 20th minute of the match Zé Paulo Vasconcelos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valdomiro Nunes skillfully saved the ball. Luiz Fabiano Gøl took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valdomiro Nunes. Valdomiro Nunes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Gustavo Cordeiro took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Cristian Peres to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fabiano Gøl in the 36th minute of play forced New England Patriots's goalkeeper Valdomiro Nunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute, Valdir da Silva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Divina Comédia FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. After a defensive mix-up in Divina Comédia FC's zone, Duda Pitta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristian Peres came out of the goal and Duda Pitta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The New England Patriots players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Divina Comédia FC were winning 1-3.

The wind increased when Gustavo Cordeiro made the kick off in the second half. Divina Comédia FC's Cristian Peres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudinho Aparecido in the 54th minute of play. Valdomiro Nunes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Aloísio Chulapa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 60 minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luiz Fabiano Gøl in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valdomiro Nunes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gustavo Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Divina Comédia FC's Cristian Peres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeu Vasconcelos in the 87th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Valdir da Silva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valdomiro Nunes. New England Patriots's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valdir da Silva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6. New England Patriots's Claudinho Aparecido pulled a muscle in his back after 94 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Osmar Freitas charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Osmar Freitas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Osmar Freitas kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The New England Patriots supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Divina Comédia FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Divina Comédia FC.
