Tostão de Andrade breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 7 minutes into the match, S.E. Pindorama Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Amadeo Erasto came free, but Tostão de Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Atlético Rio Cuarto's Amadeo Erasto in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye S.E. Astor Liher scored 0-2 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tostão de Andrade, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 28 minutes into the game, Anselmo Castro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S.E. Pindorama Eagles's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético Rio Cuarto the free kick. A collision led to S.E. Pindorama Eagles getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Anselmo Castro hit a great ball. Tostão de Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amadeo Erasto in the 34th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in S.E. Pindorama Eagles's zone, Astor Liher stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tostão de Andrade came out of the goal and Astor Liher tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amadeo Erasto struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Tostão de Andrade didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético Rio Cuarto. After 37 played minutes Atlético Rio Cuarto got a freekick which was hit by Omar Lovagnini. When Amadeo Erasto came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Atlético Rio Cuarto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amadeo Erasto couldn't finish the play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hélio Vianna to make the kick off. Atlético Rio Cuarto's Celso Lonzo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélio Vianna in the 64th minute of play. When Hélio Vianna came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the S.E. Pindorama Eagles fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hélio Vianna couldn't finish the play. A collision led to S.E. Marcus Alagoano hit a great ball. 81 minutes into the match, Hélio Vianna notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Atlético Rio Cuarto's Celso Lonzo. Celso Lonzo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ediberto Campidelis hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. When Ediberto Campidelis fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.E. Pindorama Eagles's protests and gave Ediberto Campidelis a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, S.E. Pindorama Eagles's Ediberto Campidelis got a free kick in the 89th minute.
