Atlético Rio Cuarto's Bonifacio Ado quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Charles Hodges, made in the 3rd minute of the game. Celso Lonzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Johnstone in the 6th minute of play. In the 7th minute Bastian Schweinsteiger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Lonzo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jaime Guillem hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lenny Blakeley in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Celso Lonzo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Amadeo Erasto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casey Orchard having to interfere. 25 minutes into the game, Charles Hodges was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atlétic Incles's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético Rio Cuarto the free kick. In the 25th minute, Charles Hodges hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Russ Griggs kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Club Atlétic Incles's goalkeeper Casey Orchard had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Astor Liher. In the 47th minute, Atlético Rio Cuarto's Amadeo Erasto ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Casey Orchard. Casey Orchard yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Amadeo Erasto made the kick off in the second half. Astor Liher's late challenge caught a Club Atlétic Incles's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Astor Liher helped the player get up and apologised. After 53 played minutes Atlético Rio Cuarto got a freekick which was hit by Astor Liher. Casey Orchard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amadeo Erasto in the 61st minute of play. Celso Lonzo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lenny Blakeley in the 74th minute of the match. Clemente Nel kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. If Bastian Schweinsteiger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 92 minutes, Jaime Guillem mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlético Rio Cuarto and the Club Atlétic Incles players grew even worse after the yellow card. Frank Lampard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Celso Lonzo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frank Lampard in the 97th minute. Club Atlétic Incles's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Atlético Rio Cuarto had won, even though Club Atlétic Incles had held more of the ball.
