Márcio Garcia started the match with the kick off. In the 6th match minute, ★Independiente Ψ★ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amador Bertran to maneuver through the defense. Teodosio Pudes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11th minute, Jorginho Salles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Shark FC - FSCMZ's Dedé Pimenta slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rodrigo Rey. That made the score 1-0 after 17 minutes of play. 20 minutes into the game, ★Independiente Ψ★'s Francisco Geleberto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ian Siqueira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 26 minutes into the match, Márcio Garcia dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rodrigo Rey, 2-1. With a little luck, ★Independiente Ψ★'s Rodrigo Rey got control of the ball when Luiz Fernando Zonta tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Márcio Garcia in the 30th minute of play forced ★Independiente Ψ★'s goalkeeper Rodrigo Rey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, Francisco Geleberto made a precise shot to the right of Ian Siqueira. Shark FC - FSCMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Ian Siqueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonatan Gregory in the 37th minute of play. Dedé Pimenta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Rodrigo Rey made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diguinho Velasco in the 41st minute of play forced ★Independiente Ψ★'s goalkeeper Rodrigo Rey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Márcio Garcia took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Rodrigo Rey to make any attempt to save it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Francisco Geleberto made a kick off. Magno Linhares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, ★Independiente Ψ★'s Baldomiro Bento got a free kick in the 54th minute. Dedé Pimenta struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Rodrigo Rey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Shark FC - FSCMZ. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind ★Independiente Ψ★'s goalkeeper Rodrigo Rey, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rodrigo Rey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fernando Zonta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ian Siqueira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonatan Gregory in the 70th minute. Teodosio Pudes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Ian Siqueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Shark FC - FSCMZ's Jorginho Salles got a free kick in the 74th minute. Conrado Eliazar hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, ★Independiente Ψ★'s Jonatan Gregory got a free kick in the 84th minute. 85 minutes into the match, Márcio Garcia notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of ★Independiente Ψ★'s Rodrigo Rey. Rodrigo Rey was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dedé Pimenta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodrigo Rey read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play.
