The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as FC COSA NOSTRA's Stasys Povilaitis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Santiago Demario. That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. Through an outstanding action, after 9 minutes, Santiago Demario successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The audience was convinced that Algirdas Brazauskas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Santiago Demario was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. With an all-out effort, FC COSA NOSTRA's Santiago Demario threw himself towards the right post 12 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Stasys Povilaitis, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 16th minute, Stasys Povilaitis made a precise shot to the right of Santiago Demario. Argentinos Juniors's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Santiago Demario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stasys Povilaitis in the 19th minute of play. After 21 played minutes Algirdas Brazauskas rounded Argentinos Juniors's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0. Argentinos Juniors's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Stasys Povilaitis scored to the left of an out of position Santiago Demario, making the score, 4-0. Aidas Kareiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santiago Demario having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Ramūnas Budraitis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute Jonas Girnius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Demario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After recieving a nice pass, FC COSA NOSTRA's Aidas Kareiva tried to score from far away in the 47th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Stasys Povilaitis to strike the kick off in the second half. If Jonas Girnius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 56 minutes into the game, Damaso Suarez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Argentinos Juniors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC COSA NOSTRA the free kick. In the 58th minute Algirdas Brazauskas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Demario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Argentinos Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Stasys Povilaitis came free, but Santiago Demario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stasys Povilaitis scored 6-0 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Santiago Demario, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Algirdas Brazauskas in the 65th minute of play forced Argentinos Juniors's goalkeeper Santiago Demario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santiago Demario came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by FC COSA NOSTRA's Stasys Povilaitis. But to his dismay, Stasys Povilaitis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Adrián Domenech kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. FC COSA NOSTRA's Miglius Beržinis got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 78 minutes of play, FC COSA NOSTRA's Stasys Povilaitis made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Santiago Demario was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 81st minute, Stasys Povilaitis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Santiago Demario was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-0. Stasys Povilaitis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Santiago Demario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Stasys Povilaitis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Santiago Demario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Algirdas Brazauskas in the 93rd minute of play. When FC COSA NOSTRA's Stasys Povilaitis in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Argentinos Juniors's goalie prevented a goal. In the 95th minute Algirdas Brazauskas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Demario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC COSA NOSTRA walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
