The supporters of Unidad de Matanza booed when SE Palmeiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sydney Moreno didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Jacobo Herauso in the 21st minute really tested Will Muralhas's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacobo Herauso couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Will Muralhas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustin Nardo in the 74th minute of play. Eleuterio Tipi charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eleuterio Tipi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. SE Palmeiras made a substitution. Ian Cerezo replaced João Vítor de Almeida. Eleuterio Tipi kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. When Ian Cerezo fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Unidad de Matanza had played much better football throughout.
