In the 17th minute Julius Balthazar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernt Kinnman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tony Van Der Weghen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stig Lundgren went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After 28 minutes, Tom Löfskog mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mugiwara FC and the FC Bruges players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Mugiwara FC's Tom Löfskog got a free kick in the 28th minute. Tony Van Der Weghen was a little too slow when Tom Löfskog got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 3-0. In the 37th minute Gregorie Van Beersel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernt Kinnman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Esbjörn Kinell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tom Löfskog stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 56 minutes of play, Mugiwara FC's Tom Löfskog made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tony Van Der Weghen was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tom Löfskog in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tony Van Der Weghen saved FC Bruges from getting behind. A collision led to Mugiwara FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Stig Lundgren hit a great ball. Tony Van Der Weghen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tom Löfskog in the 71st minute of play. Bernt Kinnman made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Tony Henderickx sent off a good shot on target. 76 minutes into the game, Herman Bormans was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Bruges's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mugiwara FC the free kick. In the 76th minute, Herman Bormans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tony Van Der Weghen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stig Lundgren's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. If Tom Löfskog had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gregorie Van Beersel charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gregorie Van Beersel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Mugiwara FC booed when FC Bruges was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gregorie Van Beersel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stig Lundgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Bruges players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Mugiwara FC.
