Unidad de Matanza's Gregorio Garikoitz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Unidad de Matanza from getting a goal against them. In the 18thth minute of the game Pere Montaña who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Unidad de Matanza's Gregorio Garikoitz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Will Sheridan in the 19th minute of play forced Unidad de Matanza's goalkeeper Gregorio Garikoitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Will Sheridan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gregorio Garikoitz. That made the score 1-0 in the 20 minute of play. In the 23rd minute Will Sheridan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregorio Garikoitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st match minute, FC LIVERPOOL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dave Webster to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacobo Herauso in the 32nd minute of play forced FC LIVERPOOL's goalkeeper Phil Porter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, Hugo Rioja hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Greg Chilton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Gregorio Garikoitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Greg Chilton hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Phil Porter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacobo Herauso in the 47th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Will Sheridan to strike the kick off in the second half. Gregorio Garikoitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Will Sheridan in the 52nd minute of play. Pere Montaña sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Unidad de Matanza's Jose Benvido got a free kick in the 60th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Unidad de Matanza's zone, Will Sheridan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gregorio Garikoitz came out of the goal and Will Sheridan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gregorio Garikoitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pere Montaña, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Gregorio Garikoitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Greg Chilton in the 68th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Adam Cornell left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC LIVERPOOL fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Gregorio Garikoitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pere Montaña in the 74th minute of play. Phil Porter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nunez Savier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the match, Pere Montaña notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Unidad de Matanza's Gregorio Garikoitz. Gregorio Garikoitz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Phil Porter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacobo Herauso in the 84th minute of play.
