Luís Gustavo de Lima hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. The audience cheered when Alfredão Esteves's long shot passed Richard Breckenfeld's right side. It was 0-1, 5 minutes into the match. Horácio Pontes scored 0-2 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Richard Breckenfeld, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Toninho Tepedino was a little too slow when Betão Marinho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 16th minute. The score was now 1-2. Toninho Tepedino made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Gugu Saldanha sent off a good shot on target. In the 19th minute, Gugu Saldanha reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Toninho Tepedino. The goal made the score 2-2. In the 22ndth minute of the game Betão Marinho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aracatiara EC's Toninho Tepedino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Quebra Ossos FC's Aírton Queirós got a free kick in the 24th minute. Adilson Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gugu Saldanha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toninho Tepedino having to interfere. Horácio Pontes kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Alfredão Esteves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gugu Saldanha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute of the match, Sílvio Corrêa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Toninho Tepedino saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 47 minutes into the match, Aracatiara EC's goalkeeper Toninho Tepedino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gugu Saldanha. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Virgílio Melo made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Aracatiara EC's goal looked a bit too open when Sílvio Corrêa came free, but Toninho Tepedino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Quebra Ossos FC's Aírton Queirós got a free kick in the 56th minute. Sílvio Corrêa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 61st match minute, Quebra Ossos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Betão Marinho to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd match minute, Quebra Ossos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aírton Queirós to maneuver through the defense. Betão Marinho might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Toninho Tepedino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Betão Marinho ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Gugu Saldanha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quebra Ossos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gugu Saldanha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Toninho Tepedino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 83rd match minute, Aracatiara EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amadeu Toledo to maneuver through the defense. Téo Fonseca was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 84th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Toninho Tepedino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gugu Saldanha in the 86th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Virgílio Melo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Toninho Tepedino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sílvio Corrêa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
