The referee ignored AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ's protests and gave Paulo José das Neves a yellow card for diving instead. After 25 played minutes AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Paulo José das Neves. Kléber Queirós charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kléber Queirós the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 45 played minutes Squadra Demarchi got a freekick which was hit by Kléber Queirós.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claudinho Pinho made a kick off. Oscar Saldanha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulisses Marquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ booed when Squadra Demarchi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinho Pinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulinho Paraibano got free with Thomás Vides in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Squadra Demarchi's goalkeeper Oscar Saldanha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Claudinho Pinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kléber Queirós could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Thomás Vides made a huge save. Dudu Sanches's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oscar Saldanha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play.
