With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mugur Nisipeanu in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Generoso Joachim saved Kikemania FC from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Kong Xiang Hao managed to get in a good position for a shot. UFC STEAUA's supporters rose to their feet, but Kong Xiang Hao was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Generoso Joachim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Mugur Nisipeanu came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the UFC STEAUA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mugur Nisipeanu couldn't finish the play. After 45 played minutes UFC STEAUA got a freekick which was hit by Şamil Darcan. Costică Petran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeronimo Rodriguez in the 48th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jeronimo Rodriguez to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Kikemania FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mugur Nisipeanu came free, but Generoso Joachim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tiburcio Ofelio during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 59th match minute, Kikemania FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiburcio Ofelio to maneuver through the defense. When Ubaldo Lico fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kikemania FC's protests and gave Ubaldo Lico a yellow card for diving instead. After 62 played minutes Kikemania FC got a freekick which was hit by Ubaldo Lico. Şamil Darcan kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Albert Hodorog sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Costică Petran came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Kikemania FC's Jeronimo Rodriguez. But to his dismay, Jeronimo Rodriguez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. When Mugur Nisipeanu came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the UFC STEAUA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mugur Nisipeanu couldn't finish the play. After having played for 88 minutes, Albert Hodorog managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UFC STEAUA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albert Hodorog was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Generoso Joachim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Alexa in the 90th minute of play. Tiburcio Ofelio got his second yellow card in the match during the 90th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of UFC STEAUA booed when Kikemania FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiburcio Ofelio didn't get a good kick on the ball. UFC STEAUA were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Kikemania FC to leave the ground with a draw.
