The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Samsunspor's zone, Abelardo Mambru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tolgahan Onay came out of the goal and Abelardo Mambru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Özgür Onuker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Albano Betadur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Froilan Transito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Tolgahan Onay made a huge save. If Dorukhan Erokay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Seyfi Kocakalp fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Samsunspor's protests and gave Seyfi Kocakalp a yellow card for diving instead. After 30 played minutes Samsunspor got a freekick which was hit by Seyfi Kocakalp. Alberto Romelio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tolgahan Onay having to interfere. 39 minutes into the game, AL TOKE FC's Eloy Seguinus nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tolgahan Onay made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Alberto Romelio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tolgahan Onay read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. 45 minutes into the game, Cavit Arslanoğlu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Samsunspor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AL TOKE FC the free kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eloy Seguinus to make the kick off. A collision led to Samsunspor getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Sabri Çağman hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eloy Seguinus in the 55th minute of play forced Samsunspor's goalkeeper Tolgahan Onay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 61 minutes, Özgür Onuker managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Samsunspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Özgür Onuker was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 65 minutes into the match, Abelardo Mambru notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Samsunspor's Tolgahan Onay. Tolgahan Onay was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Froilan Transito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Tolgahan Onay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th minute, Rogelio Cai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abelardo Mambru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Froilan Transito managed to get in a good position for a shot. AL TOKE FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Froilan Transito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tolgahan Onay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Yalçın Tezveren's late challenge caught a AL TOKE FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yalçın Tezveren helped the player get up and apologised. In the 91st match minute, Samsunspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yalçın Tezveren to maneuver through the defense. AL TOKE FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
