Freddy Gil ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico Chusca's zone, Antoine Griezmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiburcio Maore came out of the goal and Antoine Griezmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Club Atletico Chusca's Alfonso Perrando got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alonzo Lugo struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Aloísio Guimarães didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atletico Chusca. If Alfonso Perrando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Red Bull Magnus's Aloísio Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddy Gil in the 33rd minute of play. 38 minutes into the game, Alfonso Perrando cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Aloísio Guimarães was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alfonso Perrando struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Freddy Gil was the one to do the kick off. In the 77th minute, Alfonso Perrando ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aloísio Guimarães was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Silvano Geleberto during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 81 played minutes Club Atletico Chusca got a freekick which was hit by Silvano Geleberto. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maurinho Rosado got free with Tiburcio Maore in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alfonso Perrando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. The Club Atletico Chusca fans cheered their team off the field, for while Red Bull Magnus had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
