This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Toto Caputo as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 26th minute, Conrado Acuña hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 28 minutes into the match, Firmat Foot Ball Club's goal looked a bit too open when Dave Drescher came free, but Moises Ugutz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Toto Caputo acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 30th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Israel Porfiro. After a rather tough play, Fire Devils's Cillian Zellweger got a free kick in the 36th minute. 39 minutes into the game, Gonzalo Calcini recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Toto Caputo. Gonzalo Calcini showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Moises Ugutz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dave Drescher in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dave Drescher to strike the kick off in the second half. Toto Caputo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonides Gartxot, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cillian Zellweger got free with Moises Ugutz in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julio Clis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Toto Caputo. Fire Devils's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Francisco Bleyer hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match.
