The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Georg Ennegren during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Georg Ennegren kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Guldsmedshyttan IK's Christer Utter shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 3rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Stefan Viberg but with some difficulty. With a little luck, Gnisvärd bk's Stefan Viberg got control of the ball when Karl-Ove Christoffersson tried to sneak it across the goal line. The attack was good, but when Viggo Wallengren in the 10th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Stefan Viberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl-Ove Christoffersson in the 12th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valentin Norberg got free with Stefan Viberg in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 16 minutes into the game, Kevin Jansson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gnisvärd bk's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guldsmedshyttan IK the free kick. The supporters of Guldsmedshyttan IK booed when Gnisvärd bk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kevin Jansson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gnisvärd bk's Stefan Viberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Gnisvärd bk from getting a goal against them. In the 25th minute, Mats Berggren reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Stefan Viberg. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 29th match minute, Gnisvärd bk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johan Sandell to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Karl-Ove Christoffersson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stefan Viberg was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. The Guldsmedshyttan IK fans' excitement grew in the 32nd match minute when Guldsmedshyttan IK's Karl-Ove Christoffersson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. In the 45th minute Olov Nyström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Viberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Karl-Ove Christoffersson to make the kick off. Stefan Viberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Karl-Ove Christoffersson's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. Stefan Viberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Ove Christoffersson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valentin Norberg spun around in front of the goal 68 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Gnisvärd bk's goal. 71 minutes into the match, Gnisvärd bk's goal looked a bit too open when Valentin Norberg came free, but Stefan Viberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 73 minutes into the game, Guldsmedshyttan IK's Viggo Wallengren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stefan Viberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Göran Rudkvist succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-2 in the 77th playminute. In the 80th minute, Olov Nyström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Guldsmedshyttan IK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-2. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Karl-Ove Christoffersson put it in 6-2 from a short distance just to the right of Stefan Viberg. David Hake was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 96 minutes into the match. In the 95th minute, one of Gnisvärd bk:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gnisvärd bk. The referee gave Guldsmedshyttan IK a penalty, 97 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Christer Utter, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Gnisvärd bk's Stefan Viberg. 7-2. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Guldsmedshyttan IK fully deserved thier win.
