After 2 played minutes Cuatrodeocho got a freekick which was hit by Belo Sauca. After 5 minutes, Balázs Berta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gyál United and the Cuatrodeocho players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 6th match minute, Gyál United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Balázs Berta to maneuver through the defense. When Madeo Ramos fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cuatrodeocho's protests and gave Madeo Ramos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th match minute, Cuatrodeocho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Madeo Ramos to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as István Juhász kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Isidor Balboa. That made the score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Gyál United's zone, Perico Castro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sándor Jászberényi came out of the goal and Perico Castro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 14 minutes into the match, Gyál United's goal looked a bit too open when Madeo Ramos came free, but Sándor Jászberényi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sándor Jászberényi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Perico Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Isidor Balboa managed to avoid a goal in the 31stth minute, when Gyál United's László Medgyesi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Madeo Ramos in the 33rd minute of play forced Gyál United's goalkeeper Sándor Jászberényi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute, Belo Sauca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Isaio Mata kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when István Juhász got free with Isidor Balboa in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Isidor Balboa was a little too slow when István Juhász got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 45th minute. The score was now 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when László Medgyesi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. István Juhász's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Isidor Balboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. The supporters of Gyál United booed when Cuatrodeocho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Madeo Ramos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 62 minutes into the match, Madeo Ramos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sándor Jászberényi. Gyál United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Madeo Ramos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 67th minute, Cuatrodeocho's Madeo Ramos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sándor Jászberényi. Sándor Jászberényi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Sándor Jászberényi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcial Tarin in the 70th minute of the match. Isidor Balboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from László Medgyesi, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 74th minute, László Medgyesi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gyál United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. In the 82nd minute, Austin Urbina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Madeo Ramos hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After 85 minutes, Apal Jimenez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cuatrodeocho and the Gyál United players grew even worse after the yellow card. Apal Jimenez kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Zoltán Ebedli took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 86th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Isidor Balboa. Cuatrodeocho's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Apal Jimenez hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. After having played for 91 minutes, Zoltán Ebedli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gyál United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zoltán Ebedli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 95 minutes, the score became 3-3 when Marcial Tarin sped through Gyál United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sándor Jászberényi. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
