Ingvar Lindgren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tom Are read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Sven Seitse's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Douglas Käcker was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. 14 minutes into the match, BK Nerysminne's goal looked a bit too open when Pogi Hanson came free, but Douglas Käcker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute Pogi Hanson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Douglas Käcker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 23 minutes of play, FC Dundee's Endel Tihumets made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Douglas Käcker was left in no man's land by his defense there! BK Nerysminne's Douglas Käcker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven Seitse in the 29th minute of play. Douglas Käcker came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by FC Dundee's Hristo Botev. But to his dismay, Hristo Botev quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hristo Botev in the 39th minute of play forced BK Nerysminne's goalkeeper Douglas Käcker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Sven Seitse managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Dundee's supporters rose to their feet, but Sven Seitse was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Douglas Käcker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 42 minutes into the match, BK Nerysminne's goal looked a bit too open when Hristo Botev came free, but Douglas Käcker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, FC Dundee's goal looked a bit too open when Bror Hanmark came free, but Tom Are reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bror Hanmark to make the kick off. In the 53rdth minute of the game Bror Hanmark who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Dundee's Tom Are was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Douglas Käcker was out of position in the 56 minute of play, and Pogi Hanson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pogi Hanson really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. 58 minutes into the game, Hristo Botev cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Douglas Käcker was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The FC Dundee fans' excitement grew in the 61st match minute when FC Dundee's Hristo Botev looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Tom Are showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bror Hanmark in the 64th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, BK Nerysminne's goal looked a bit too open when Hristo Botev came free, but Douglas Käcker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. BK Nerysminne's Douglas Käcker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hristo Botev in the 68th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pogi Hanson in the 83rd minute of play forced BK Nerysminne's goalkeeper Douglas Käcker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, BK Nerysminne's Douglas Käcker got control of the ball when Pogi Hanson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Douglas Käcker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven Seitse, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patrik Johnsson during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 87 played minutes BK Nerysminne got a freekick which was hit by Patrik Johnsson. In the 89th minute, Patrik Johnsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 95th match minute, FC Dundee was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hristo Botev to maneuver through the defense. The BK Nerysminne fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Dundee were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
