But to his dismay, Jan Myrsing quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 20 minutes into the match, SRP-Laguna's goal looked a bit too open when Villiam Slott came free, but Alex Sarmento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 21 played minutes Saco FC got a freekick which was hit by Frederick Burnell. Jannich Brolyng made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Richárd Richards sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Villiam Slott in the 46th minute of play forced SRP-Laguna's goalkeeper Alex Sarmento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nilmar do Nascimento was the one to do the kick off. Jannich Brolyng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilmar do Nascimento in the 55th minute of the match. Saco FC's Jannich Brolyng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nilmar do Nascimento in the 59th minute of play. Alex Sarmento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pelle Varbæk in the 69th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in SRP-Laguna's zone, Pelle Varbæk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alex Sarmento came out of the goal and Pelle Varbæk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jannich Brolyng stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of João Francisco Almeida's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Alex Sarmento was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Frederick Burnell showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 79 minute of play. João Francisco Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Jannich Brolyng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jannich Brolyng came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by SRP-Laguna's João Francisco Almeida. But to his dismay, João Francisco Almeida quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Marcelo Domingues hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. The supporters of Saco FC booed when SRP-Laguna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedrão Arce didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Saco FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
