The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mihály Horváth hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Ágyúsok FC's Krisztián Vén got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 13th minute Marcell Somogyi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mattias Pihlgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcell Somogyi in the 13th minute of play forced Oldham Athletic's goalkeeper Mattias Pihlgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcell Somogyi took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mattias Pihlgren. Mattias Pihlgren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Valentin Jonsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oldham Athletic's supporters rose to their feet, but Valentin Jonsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tibor Moravecz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Pettersson in the 24th minute of play forced Ágyúsok FC's goalkeeper Tibor Moravecz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 25 played minutes Ágyúsok FC got a freekick which was hit by Krisztián Vén. 26 minutes into the match, Oldham Athletic's Valentin Jonsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tibor Moravecz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Ágyúsok FC booed when Oldham Athletic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Gulliksson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valentin Jonsson charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valentin Jonsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valentin Jonsson got free with Tibor Moravecz in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 32 played minutes Ágyúsok FC got a freekick which was hit by Ákos Takács. When Sten Bolander came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Oldham Athletic fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sten Bolander couldn't finish the play. Valentin Jonsson came free with the goalkeeper in the 40th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tibor Moravecz could save by the left post. In the 41st match minute, Ágyúsok FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Krisztián Vén to maneuver through the defense. Adrian Pettersson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Tibor Moravecz made a huge save. 44 minutes into the match, Ágyúsok FC's goalkeeper Tibor Moravecz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valentin Jonsson. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Antal Kocsis made the kick off in the second half. Tibor Moravecz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sten Bolander in the 55th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Antal Kocsis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mattias Pihlgren was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Tibor Moravecz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentin Jonsson in the 62nd minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Ágyúsok FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jimmy Linquist came free, but Tibor Moravecz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mattias Pihlgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcell Somogyi in the 68th minute of play. Valentin Jonsson got his second yellow card in the match during the 69th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Oldham Athletic getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Valentin Jonsson hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adrian Pettersson in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tibor Moravecz saved Ágyúsok FC from getting behind. Jimmy Linquist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tibor Moravecz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Oldham Athletic's Sten Bolander got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 84 minutes into the match, Jimmy Linquist notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Ágyúsok FC's Tibor Moravecz. Tibor Moravecz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ákos Takács sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tibor Moravecz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Pettersson in the 91st minute of the match.
