Tibor Moravecz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sten Bolander in the 3rd minute of the match. Antal Kocsis was extremely unlucky when he, in the 4th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Oldham Athletic's Mattias Pihlgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltazár Lorberg in the 9th minute of play. After some careless play in the Ágyúsok FC defense, Adrian Pettersson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tibor Moravecz. The Ágyúsok FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tibor Moravecz should have stopped the shot. Oldham Athletic's Mattias Pihlgren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Oldham Athletic from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baltazár Lorberg got free with Mattias Pihlgren in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tibor Moravecz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adrian Pettersson went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. With his leg Mattias Pihlgren managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when Ágyúsok FC's Baltazár Lorberg fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Marcell Somogyi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Mattias Pihlgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Oldham Athletic getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Jan Gulliksson hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sten Bolander in the 31st minute of play forced Ágyúsok FC's goalkeeper Tibor Moravecz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 34 played minutes Ágyúsok FC got a freekick which was hit by Zénó Szűrös. A hard shot 39 in the game by Baltazár Lorberg from a close distance when the talented Mattias Pihlgren managed to make a qualified save. Oldham Athletic's players were relieved. Mattias Pihlgren didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Ágyúsok FC's Baltazár Lorberg shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-2 in the ordered_time% minute. Mattias Pihlgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltazár Lorberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the match, Ágyúsok FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sten Bolander came free, but Tibor Moravecz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Tibor Moravecz made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Sten Bolander sent off a good shot on target. After 59 played minutes Oldham Athletic got a freekick which was hit by Jan Gulliksson. After 61 minutes, Leif Vedholm mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oldham Athletic and the Ágyúsok FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 62 played minutes Oldham Athletic got a freekick which was hit by Leif Vedholm. After a rather tough play, Ágyúsok FC's Ákos Kovács got a free kick in the 64th minute. Oldham Athletic's Ingvar Bollström was substituted for Valentin Jonsson. In the 71st minute, Ágyúsok FC's Ákos Kovács seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ákos Kovács the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Ágyúsok FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ákos Kovács had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to Ágyúsok FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Ákos Takács hit a great ball. After 79 minutes, Baltazár Lorberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ágyúsok FC and the Oldham Athletic players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Oldham Athletic booed when Ágyúsok FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baltazár Lorberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sten Bolander during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 80 played minutes Oldham Athletic got a freekick which was hit by Sten Bolander. Mattias Pihlgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcell Somogyi in the 84th minute of play. Marcell Somogyi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zénó Szűrös during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 94th minute, Zénó Szűrös hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle sounded Oldham Athletic left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ágyúsok FC.
