The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Enginalp İnanoğlu hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. The San Martin de Tucuman fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when San Martin de Tucuman's Flavio Blai looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, ÇALIMLI's Luiz Fabiano Jacinto got a free kick in the 9th minute. 20 minutes into the match, ÇALIMLI's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Gizon came free, but Ye Chuan Lin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the ÇALIMLI defense, Alfonso Weather kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ye Chuan Lin. The ÇALIMLI fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ye Chuan Lin should have stopped the shot. Barnabé Amice received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Carlos Velasco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ye Chuan Lin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavio Blai, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After 29 played minutes ÇALIMLI got a freekick which was hit by Enginalp İnanoğlu. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafael Roldanillo in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ye Chuan Lin saved ÇALIMLI from getting behind. 35 minutes into the match, ÇALIMLI's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Gizon came free, but Ye Chuan Lin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ye Chuan Lin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hector Gizon in the 39th minute of the match. Ye Chuan Lin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavio Blai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 41 minutes into the match, Rafael Roldanillo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ye Chuan Lin. ÇALIMLI's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rafael Roldanillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 45 minutes into the game, San Martin de Tucuman's Hector Gizon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ye Chuan Lin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. 48 minutes into the match, ÇALIMLI's goal looked a bit too open when Blas Oxarra came free, but Ye Chuan Lin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The ÇALIMLI players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. San Martin de Tucuman were winning 0-4.

The wind increased when Hector Gizon made the kick off in the second half. Flavio Blai's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 54thth minute, Ye Chuan Lin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When the match clock showed 58 minutes, the score became 1-5 when Luiz Fabiano Jacinto sped through San Martin de Tucuman's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Carlos Velasco. Hector Gizon took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ye Chuan Lin. Ye Chuan Lin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. Doğan Zakir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Velasco having to interfere. San Martin de Tucuman's Aquilino Pasqual was substituted for Rafael Roldanillo. In the 68th minute, Luiz Fabiano Jacinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ye Chuan Lin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aquilino Pasqual, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Ye Chuan Lin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquilino Pasqual in the 79th minute of play. In the 83rd minute Barnabé Amice shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Velasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ye Chuan Lin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hector Gizon in the 85th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maximo Diegotxe got free with Ye Chuan Lin in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as San Martin de Tucuman's Flavio Blai slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ye Chuan Lin. That made the score 1-7 after 91 minutes of play. San Martin de Tucuman made a substitution. Epifanio Paulin replaced Matias Eate. When the match was over San Martin de Tucuman could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than ÇALIMLI throughout the match.
