Nicanor Araoz hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Clodoveo Donzel came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by San Martin de Tucuman's Hector Gizon. But to his dismay, Hector Gizon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for 박 십 to strike the kick off in the second half. Maximo Diegotxe kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. In the 62nd match minute, Cementerio Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicanor Araoz to maneuver through the defense. Clodoveo Donzel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rafael Roldanillo in the 63rd minute. After 64 played minutes Cementerio Club got a freekick which was hit by Nicanor Araoz. Maximo Diegotxe hit a great ball. 69 minutes into the match, Cementerio Club's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Gizon came free, but Clodoveo Donzel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute of the match, Hector Gizon tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Clodoveo Donzel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Carlos Velasco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabio Botello, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. San Martin de Tucuman made a substitution. Epifanio Paulin replaced Matias Eate. After a rather tough play, Cementerio Club's Charly García got a free kick in the 86th minute. Nicanor Araoz kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. In the 88th minute of the match Amadeo Vincent shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Clodoveo Donzel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Clodoveo Donzel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aquilino Pasqual, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 96th minute Aquilino Pasqual shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clodoveo Donzel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. San Martin de Tucuman were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
