The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ulf Sundström during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ulf Sundström hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. After 7 played minutes Bornova got a freekick which was hit by Şeref Onatkan. The supporters of Bornova booed when Youth Academy Of Rhye was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulf Sundström didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11thth minute of the game Mehmet Hamdi Sarphan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Youth Academy Of Rhye's Mattias Holm was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 18 minutes of play, Youth Academy Of Rhye's Fred Kruuse made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kerim Sav was left in no man's land by his defense there! 23 minutes into the game, Youth Academy Of Rhye's Zhao Feng nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kerim Sav made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Fahrettin Uçhan kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Fred Kruuse got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mattias Holm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Çeliker Barbaros, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. The supporters of Bornova booed when Youth Academy Of Rhye was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulf Sundström didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Abdulaziz Onurkan came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Youth Academy Of Rhye fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdulaziz Onurkan couldn't finish the play. Kerim Sav took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fred Kruuse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Bornova players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Youth Academy Of Rhye were winning 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mehmet Hamdi Sarphan made a kick off. Mattias Holm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehmet Hamdi Sarphan in the 51st minute of play. Mattias Holm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mehmet Hamdi Sarphan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Mehmet Hamdi Sarphan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Çeliker Barbaros in the 57th minute of play forced Youth Academy Of Rhye's goalkeeper Mattias Holm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Mehmet Hamdi Sarphan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bornova's supporters rose to their feet, but Mehmet Hamdi Sarphan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mattias Holm breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Abdulaziz Onurkan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mattias Holm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Çeliker Barbaros in the 68th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehmet Hamdi Sarphan in the 69th minute of play forced Youth Academy Of Rhye's goalkeeper Mattias Holm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 73 in the game by Fred Kruuse from a close distance when the talented Kerim Sav managed to make a qualified save. Bornova's players were relieved. 74 minutes into the game, Zhao Feng cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Kerim Sav was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 77 played minutes Youth Academy Of Rhye got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Eliasson. Sergen Tanaltay took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 78th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mattias Holm. Youth Academy Of Rhye's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehmet Hamdi Sarphan in the 80th minute of play forced Youth Academy Of Rhye's goalkeeper Mattias Holm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ovidiu Istrate hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Philip Larsson was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 85 minutes into the match. Kerim Sav came out of the goal and Zhao Feng tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Bornova manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Youth Academy Of Rhye to win.
