The referee ignored Club Atlético Temperley's protests and gave Evelio Padro a yellow card for diving instead. Monitor Huáscar's Humberto Sagasti was substituted for Ovidio Varez. The supporters of Monitor Huáscar booed when Club Atlético Temperley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evelio Padro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Monitor Huáscar's Pagomari Portilla couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 6th minute. Leo Viator's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 9thth minute, Johans Ortubia skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a little luck, Monitor Huáscar's Johans Ortubia got control of the ball when Leo Viator tried to sneak it across the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Leo Viator notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Monitor Huáscar's Johans Ortubia. Johans Ortubia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Oxel Viñales fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicasio Txeru having to interfere. Evelio Padro got his second yellow card in the match during the 15th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Club Atlético Temperley getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Evelio Padro hit a great ball. Nicasio Txeru didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cordero Casuso went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Oxel Viñales fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicasio Txeru having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Augusto Olentzaro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 28th minute, Cordero Casuso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute of the match, Moises Olayo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Johans Ortubia was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 37 minutes into the match, Monitor Huáscar's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Olentzaro came free, but Johans Ortubia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 47 minutes, Víctor-Emilio Rivadeneyra-Gamonal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monitor Huáscar and the Club Atlético Temperley players grew even worse after the yellow card. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
Johans Ortubia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Olentzaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Nicasio Txeru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cordero Casuso in the 59th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, Monitor Huáscar's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Viator came free, but Johans Ortubia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oxel Viñales could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Nicasio Txeru made a huge save. Nicasio Txeru made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Ricardo Rivadeneyra-Gamonal sent off a good shot on target. Benigno Torne kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Monitor Huáscar made a substitution. Turi Larrategui replaced Txanton Sedeño. Monitor Huáscar's Steven Fortis was substituted for Benigno Torne. A collision led to Monitor Huáscar getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Benigno Torne hit a great ball. In the 74th minute, Oxel Viñales reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nicasio Txeru. The goal made the score 2-2. Johans Ortubia came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atlético Temperley's Augusto Olentzaro. But to his dismay, Augusto Olentzaro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. In the 88th minute, Monitor Huáscar's Víctor-Emilio Rivadeneyra-Gamonal seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Víctor-Emilio Rivadeneyra-Gamonal the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Monitor Huáscar protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Víctor-Emilio Rivadeneyra-Gamonal had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The supporters of Club Atlético Temperley booed when Monitor Huáscar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Víctor-Emilio Rivadeneyra-Gamonal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Braulio Vito was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 90th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Monitor Huáscar's Mauro Risel got a free kick in the 91st minute. Augusto Olentzaro might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Johans Ortubia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Augusto Olentzaro ran back to his position shaking his head. Nicasio Txeru made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ricardo Rivadeneyra-Gamonal in the 94th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Club Atlético Temperley fans cheered their team off the field, for while Monitor Huáscar had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
