The Yalapa fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when Yalapa's Marco Gaston looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience was convinced that Anier Eudoxio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Robustiano Vega was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. 8 minutes into the match, Zebolla FC's goal looked a bit too open when Anier Eudoxio came free, but Robustiano Vega reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Zebolla FC's Lizbeth Sobrado got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute of the match Silvano Resto sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Robustiano Vega skillfully saved the ball. After 18 played minutes Zebolla FC got a freekick which was hit by Lleir Guaras. In the 27th minute, Aznar Guillamas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anier Eudoxio in the 30th minute of play forced Zebolla FC's goalkeeper Robustiano Vega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marco Gaston received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Robustiano Vega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Anier Eudoxio sped through Zebolla FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Robustiano Vega. After 39 minutes, Salbatore Septien made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Yalapa's Everardo Sal tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 43 minutes, Lleir Guaras mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zebolla FC and the Yalapa players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lleir Guaras kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After the first half Yalapa were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Anier Eudoxio made the kick off in the second half. Marco Gaston fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robustiano Vega having to interfere. In the 58th match minute, Zebolla FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cordeiro Bartolomei to maneuver through the defense. Silvano Resto, 59 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Lizbeth Sobrado's late challenge caught a Yalapa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lizbeth Sobrado helped the player get up and apologised. 66 minutes into the game, one of Zebolla FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Robustiano Vega had in the 68thth minute some difficulties stopping Silvano Resto's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After some careless play in the Zebolla FC defense, Marco Gaston kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robustiano Vega. The Zebolla FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robustiano Vega should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Zebolla FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Lizbeth Sobrado hit a great ball. Zebolla FC made a substitution. Che Montecino replaced Roberto Marmol. After 73 played minutes Zebolla FC got a freekick which was hit by Lizbeth Sobrado. 77 minutes into the match, Zebolla FC's goalkeeper Robustiano Vega had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marco Gaston. Robustiano Vega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Padro in the 79th minute of play. Yalapa's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Silvano Resto in the 80th minute. After taking down the ball on Yalapa's corner Silvano Resto fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Robustiano Vega quite easily take care of the ball. Zebolla FC's Lleir Guaras got his second yellow card of the match in the 81st minute. The referee ordered Lleir Guaras off the ground. In the 83rd minute of the match Natalio Belmiro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Robustiano Vega showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 89 minutes into the game, Cordeiro Bartolomei was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zebolla FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yalapa the free kick. Cordeiro Bartolomei kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Armando Padro made a precise shot to the right of Robustiano Vega. Zebolla FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. Anier Eudoxio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Robustiano Vega when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the final whistle sounded Yalapa left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Zebolla FC.
