Betão de Amaral made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Celsinho Xavier sent off a good shot on target. 15 minutes into the game, Dorival Veloso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Alexsandro Ribeiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Elder Luz took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alexsandro Ribeiro. Alexsandro Ribeiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Fala Sério FC's Alexsandro Ribeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorival Veloso in the 23rd minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, S.E. Cachoeirinha's goal looked a bit too open when Matheus Fernandez came free, but Betão de Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Fala Sério FC's zone, Dorival Veloso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexsandro Ribeiro came out of the goal and Dorival Veloso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexsandro Ribeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frederico Gomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frederico Gomes in the 39th minute of play forced Fala Sério FC's goalkeeper Alexsandro Ribeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celsinho Xavier scored 1-4 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Betão de Amaral, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Betão de Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amílton Massa, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Matheus Fernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alexsandro Ribeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorival Veloso in the 66th minute of the match. Fala Sério FC's Matheus Fernandez got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dorival Veloso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alexsandro Ribeiro having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorival Veloso in the 80th minute of play forced Fala Sério FC's goalkeeper Alexsandro Ribeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. S.E. Cachoeirinha's Frederico Gomes got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Matheus Fernandez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Betão de Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Edinho Mello fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.E. Cachoeirinha's protests and gave Edinho Mello a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to S.E. Cachoeirinha getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Edinho Mello hit a great ball. 96 minutes into the match, Fala Sério FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dorival Veloso came free, but Alexsandro Ribeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Fala Sério FC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
