In the 4th match minute, Fala Sério FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olavo Massa to maneuver through the defense. 13 minutes into the match, Paavo Salmela notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Fala Sério FC's Alexsandro Ribeiro. Alexsandro Ribeiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fala Sério FC's Alexsandro Ribeiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Fala Sério FC from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paavo Salmela got free with Alexsandro Ribeiro in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alexsandro Ribeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruud van Nistelrooij in the 24th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Paavo Salmela ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alexsandro Ribeiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 33 minutes into the game, Paavo Salmela recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alexsandro Ribeiro. Paavo Salmela showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Ruud van Nistelrooij recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Paavo Salmela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the game, Manchester United FC's Paavo Salmela nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alexsandro Ribeiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paavo Salmela to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Paavo Salmela managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manchester United FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paavo Salmela was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 53 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Paavo Salmela sped through Fala Sério FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alexsandro Ribeiro. Alexsandro Ribeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paavo Salmela in the 61st minute of play. Jarkko Sulin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alexsandro Ribeiro having to make a save. Alexsandro Ribeiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ruud van Nistelrooij's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. The supporters of Manchester United FC booed when Fala Sério FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Léo Pelé didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Paavo Salmela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Manchester United FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Rasmus Viljanen hit a great ball. With a little luck, Manchester United FC's Juha Jokiranta got control of the ball when Celsinho Xavier tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Manchester United FC's Paavo Salmela in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fala Sério FC's goalie prevented a goal. Juha Jokiranta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celsinho Xavier in the 84th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Fala Sério FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paavo Salmela came free, but Alexsandro Ribeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
