Ruisko Perucho was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 17 minutes into the match, Floripa Lions FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Pes Carrasquedo came free, but Evaristo Siqueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Miguel Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ruisko Perucho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cícero Moura in the 21st minute of the match. Ruisko Perucho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathias Gaúcho in the 24th minute of play. Jonas Arantes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruisko Perucho having to interfere. Glorioso Deportivo Cali's Ruisko Perucho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raúl Guimarães in the 27th minute of play. The supporters of Glorioso Deportivo Cali booed when Floripa Lions FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Raúl Guimarães stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Glorioso Deportivo Cali players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
