But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Falcão Viana couldn't finish the play. Rafael Cavalcante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th minute, Rafael Cavalcante ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Betão de Amaral was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 25 minutes into the match, Vila Industrial FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fabinho Vinhas came free, but Thomás Vaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ravi Lopes was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 25 minutes into the match. Ravi Lopes hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After 29 played minutes S.E. Cachoeirinha got a freekick which was hit by Elder Luz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Falcão Viana in the 30th minute of play forced S.E. Cachoeirinha's goalkeeper Betão de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Betão de Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Falcão Viana in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Fabinho Vinhas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nilmar do Valle hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Betão de Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Falcão Viana, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 46th minute Narciso Schmidt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Betão de Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 48th minute Vila Industrial FC were awarded a corner. Bedih Lovin went to the cornerflag to take it.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dorival Veloso was the one to do the kick off. After 55 played minutes Vila Industrial FC got a freekick which was hit by Pedrinho Ramos. After having played for 56 minutes, Nilmar do Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.E. Cachoeirinha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nilmar do Valle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fabinho Vinhas kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. S.E. Cachoeirinha's Betão de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Falcão Viana in the 66th minute of play. Fabinho Vinhas's late challenge caught a Vila Industrial FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabinho Vinhas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 71st minute Rafael Cavalcante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Betão de Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. S.E. Cachoeirinha's Betão de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Cavalcante in the 77th minute of play. A collision led to S.E. Cachoeirinha getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Elder Luz hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Falcão Viana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vila Industrial FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Falcão Viana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Betão de Amaral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 83 played minutes Vila Industrial FC got a freekick which was hit by Bedih Lovin. In the 86th minute, Rafael Cavalcante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elder Luz kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 90th minute of the match Luuk de Jong sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Betão de Amaral skillfully saved the ball. Rafael Cavalcante recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. S.E. Cachoeirinha's Betão de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Falcão Viana in the 98th minute of play. Vila Industrial FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
