After having played for 4 minutes, Frederico Gomes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.E. Cachoeirinha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frederico Gomes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fala Sério FC's goalkeeper Alexsandro Ribeiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Frederico Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fala Sério FC's Alexsandro Ribeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorival Veloso in the 13th minute of play. Alexsandro Ribeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorival Veloso in the 17th minute of play. Dorival Veloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Alexsandro Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fala Sério FC's Alexsandro Ribeiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Fala Sério FC from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Fala Sério FC's Alexsandro Ribeiro got control of the ball when Frederico Gomes tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 25th minute, Mauro Meireles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alexsandro Ribeiro didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when S.E. Cachoeirinha's Dorival Veloso shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Zé Recife fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexsandro Ribeiro having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Elder Luz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alexsandro Ribeiro. The goal made the score 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dorival Veloso to strike the kick off in the second half. When Dorival Veloso came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the S.E. Cachoeirinha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dorival Veloso couldn't finish the play. In the 53rd match minute, Fala Sério FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amílton Massa to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 54 minutes, Dorival Veloso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.E. Cachoeirinha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dorival Veloso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Celsinho Xavier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edinho Mello during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to S.E. Cachoeirinha getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Edinho Mello hit a great ball. Alexsandro Ribeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frederico Gomes in the 97th minute of play. S.E. Cachoeirinha were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Fala Sério FC for a fine match.
