In the 26th minute Ennio De Nardis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teobald Orling saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ernesto Minichiello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartlomiej Wysocki in the 40th minute of play forced XMAS's goalkeeper Armando Polidori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ernesto Minichiello kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. XMAS's Ernesto Minichiello got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The XMAS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Armando Polidori should have stopped the shot. Alberigo Gianfrancesco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teobald Orling having to interfere. The supporters of XMAS booed when Nadodrze Wrocław was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maciej Cisek didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute, Bartlomiej Wysocki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ernesto Minichiello in the 92ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal.
