But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stefan Fikus couldn't finish the play. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 8 minutes into the game, Wlodzimierz Raszek cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Adam Todoran was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 14th minute Wlodzimierz Raszek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adam Todoran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 15 minutes into the game, when Bartlomiej Zaworski put in a rough tackle. 15 minutes into the game, one of FC Catalonia:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 17th minute there was a penalty for ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007. Nicu Neghină stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Edgar Rzeszutko. 1-1. Leontin Achifoaiei hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Bernard Kowalski managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Catalonia's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernard Kowalski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adam Todoran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stefan Fikus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adam Todoran having to interfere. After having played for 34 minutes, Czeslaw Piczak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Catalonia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Czeslaw Piczak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edgar Rzeszutko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petruț Zăhărescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007 were awarded a corner. Nicu Neghină went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Moise Lăzărescu heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. FC Catalonia's Edgar Rzeszutko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cezar Lung in the 43rd minute of play. If Stefan Fikus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gelu Istrate kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nicu Gheondea was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007 getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Gelu Istrate hit a great ball. Edgar Rzeszutko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicu Gheondea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th match minute, FC Catalonia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kazimierz Pietras to maneuver through the defense. Adam Todoran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefan Fikus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 71 minutes, Stefan Fikus made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007's Adam Todoran tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007's zone, Stefan Fikus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adam Todoran came out of the goal and Stefan Fikus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Czeslaw Piczak took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adam Todoran. Adam Todoran dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Nicu Gheondea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Edgar Rzeszutko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007 getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Cezar Lung hit a great ball. Nicu Gheondea received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Edgar Rzeszutko came out and tried to block the shot, but Nicu Gheondea slotted it home off the left post making it 4-2 in the 83rd minute. When FC Catalonia's Stefan Fikus in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007's goalie prevented a goal. Czeslaw Piczak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Adam Todoran came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Catalonia's Czeslaw Piczak. But to his dismay, Czeslaw Piczak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. Cezar Lung might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edgar Rzeszutko. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cezar Lung ran back to his position shaking his head. FC Catalonia's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
