If Rutger Magnusson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dan Lang hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Carl Carlsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rutger Magnusson went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind DFP's goalkeeper Carl Carlsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the DFP defense, Gaafar Jesus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carl Carlsson. The DFP fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carl Carlsson should have stopped the shot. Carl Carlsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaafar Jesus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the match, Örebro FF's Rutger Magnusson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carl Carlsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to DFP getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Olov Qvalfeldt hit a great ball. The supporters of DFP booed when Örebro FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rutger Magnusson didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rutger Magnusson in the 35th minute of play forced DFP's goalkeeper Carl Carlsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute, Gaafar Jesus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 44 minutes of play, Örebro FF's Rutger Magnusson made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carl Carlsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! 48 minutes into the match, Rutger Magnusson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carl Carlsson. DFP's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rutger Magnusson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. After the first half Örebro FF were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rutger Magnusson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Örebro FF's Gaafar Jesus sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carl Carlsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Carl Carlsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rutger Magnusson, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Gaafar Jesus kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. A collision led to Örebro FF getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Geovani Dracena hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Gaafar Jesus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Örebro FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaafar Jesus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carl Carlsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carl Carlsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rutger Magnusson in the 79th minute. In the 79th minute, Örebro FF's Rutger Magnusson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Carl Carlsson. Carl Carlsson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. Gaafar Jesus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carl Carlsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Gaafar Jesus kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Carl Carlsson. That made the score 0-7 in the 88 minute of play. If Rutger Magnusson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Gaafar Jesus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Örebro FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaafar Jesus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carl Carlsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 97 minutes into the match, Gaafar Jesus dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Carl Carlsson, 0-8. Örebro FF played a much better game than DFP and deserved their victory. The DFP players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
