The DFP fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carl Carlsson should have stopped the shot. Carl Carlsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaafar Jesus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the match, Örebro FF's Rutger Magnusson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carl Carlsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to DFP getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Olov Qvalfeldt hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute, Gaafar Jesus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Örebro FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaafar Jesus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Örebro FF played a much better game than DFP and deserved their victory. The DFP players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
