The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes The Masters got a freekick which was hit by Santiago Gotzon. The Masters's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vasco FC the free kick. In the 12th match minute, The Masters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Olayo to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute, Tiago Gabriel Mesquita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jerônimo Severo's late challenge caught a The Masters's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Delmiro Osoro hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. When Silvestre Gurutz came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the The Masters fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvestre Gurutz couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, The Masters's Felix Olayo got a free kick in the 27th minute. Tomas Ekhi kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. 34 minutes into the game, Jonas Veloso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
