Dumitru Mavroghenis short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Rui Noronha to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With his leg Rui Noronha managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Club Vertigo's Dumitru Mavrogheni fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 21st match minute, Club Vertigo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Giubelean to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute João Bezerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gelu Pașcalău saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfredo Anjos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Club Vertigo's David Giubelean got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gabriel Hrean charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gabriel Hrean the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 38 played minutes Club Vertigo got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Hrean. A collision led to castro marim cyty getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Valério Paixão hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in castro marim cyty's zone, Daniel Chirea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rui Noronha came out of the goal and Daniel Chirea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rui Noronha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sabin Corcoveanu in the 49th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Veríssimo Vasconcelos to make the kick off. Gabriel Hrean struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Rui Noronha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Vertigo. 58 minutes into the match, Dumitru Mavrogheni notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of castro marim cyty's Rui Noronha. Rui Noronha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 62 minutes into the match, Club Vertigo's goalkeeper Gelu Pașcalău had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Veríssimo Vasconcelos. After 66 minutes of play Club Vertigo's Gabriel Hrean was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Gabriel Hrean hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute, Veríssimo Vasconcelos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rui Noronha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sabin Corcoveanu in the 71st minute of play. Rui Noronha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dumitru Mavrogheni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 74 minutes into the match, castro marim cyty's goal looked a bit too open when Dumitru Mavrogheni came free, but Rui Noronha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 80 minutes, Aurelian Mănescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Vertigo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurelian Mănescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 84th minute, Alfredo Anjos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aurelian Mănescu in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rui Noronha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rui Noronha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dumitru Mavrogheni in the 92nd minute of play. Rui Noronha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sabin Corcoveanu in the 96th minute of the match. Club Vertigo were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
