Spectators: 7568 (Terracing: 5677, Seating: 1740, VIP seats: 151) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Torcato Paião took the kick off in the first half of the match. Atlético Micaelense's Alexandre Paixão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bonifacio Atarratze in the 2nd minute of play. Bonifacio Atarratze did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Alexandre Paixão 4 minutes into the match. Guansa's Fidel Mendiko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cláudio Madureira in the 12th minute of play. When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Torcato Paião sped through Guansa's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fidel Mendiko. In the 16th minute, Torcato Paião ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fidel Mendiko was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. 27 minutes into the match, Bonifacio Atarratze notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Atlético Micaelense's Alexandre Paixão. Alexandre Paixão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Torcato Paião sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Guansa booed when Atlético Micaelense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Veríssimo Carvalhal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cesar Opilano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Alexandre Paixão made a huge save. Erubiel Lopes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 44thth minute, Alexandre Paixão skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ismael Galeno in the 48th minute of play forced Atlético Micaelense's goalkeeper Alexandre Paixão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bonifacio Atarratze to strike the kick off in the second half. Braulio Vachon kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. With 57 minutes on the clock, Mauro Ordono commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 57th minute, one of Guansa:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Guansa. In the 65th match minute, Atlético Micaelense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo Varanda to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Guansa's zone, Torcato Paião stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fidel Mendiko came out of the goal and Torcato Paião tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 74 played minutes Guansa got a freekick which was hit by Bonifacio Atarratze. After 75 minutes of play, Atlético Micaelense's Torcato Paião made it 3-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fidel Mendiko was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 77th minute, Marcelo Amaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erubiel Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Alexandre Paixão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Cláudio Madureira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fidel Mendiko. That made the score 3-5 in the 84 minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Atlético Micaelense's goal looked a bit too open when Bonifacio Atarratze came free, but Alexandre Paixão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fidel Mendiko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvaldo Varanda, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 94th match minute, Atlético Micaelense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui Freitas to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute of the match Cesar Opilano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alexandre Paixão showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Atlético Micaelense walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
