Zé Pedro Varela didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Silvestre Laffitte went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Silvestre Laffitte hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Sportivo Mela Banco's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Jefferson Barreto scored to the left of an out of position Narciso Ihazintu, making the score, 1-3. In the 26th minute, Everardo Jordy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. JURIDIQUES F.C's Zé Pedro Varela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebio Polo in the 32nd minute of play. 40 minutes into the game, Sportivo Mela Banco's Silvestre Laffitte nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zé Pedro Varela made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Narciso Ihazintu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jefferson Barreto in the 44th minute of play. After 46 minutes of play, Sportivo Mela Banco's Eusebio Polo made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zé Pedro Varela was left in no man's land by his defense there! The JURIDIQUES F.C players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sportivo Mela Banco were winning 1-5.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jefferson Barreto to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Bernardo Guillelmus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Silvestre Laffitte could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Zé Pedro Varela made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jefferson Barreto in the 68th minute of play forced Sportivo Mela Banco's goalkeeper Narciso Ihazintu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eusebio Polo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zé Pedro Varela having to make a save. In the 74th minute Eusebio Polo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Pedro Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Eusebio Polo took a quick shot and it went in 1-6 without a chance for Zé Pedro Varela to make any attempt to save it. In the 80th match minute, Sportivo Mela Banco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Guillelmus to maneuver through the defense. In the 82nd minute of the game Jesus Martino made a throw-in which Silvestre Laffitte played forward. JURIDIQUES F.C's Zé Pedro Varela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebio Polo in the 94th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Sportivo Mela Banco left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than JURIDIQUES F.C.
