Ove Hake was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Luizinho Pesqueira. Ove Hake took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luizão Pesqueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Enéas Borges showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Birger Kleen, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 22nd match minute, Nils Liedholm IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jörgen Bjurström to maneuver through the defense. 26 minutes into the game, Pesqueira City's Ronaldo Guimarães nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ove Hake made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 33 minutes into the match, Birger Kleen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Enéas Borges. Pesqueira City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Birger Kleen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 36 minutes into the match, Nils Liedholm IF's goalkeeper Ove Hake had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ronaldo Guimarães. In the 39th minute, Nils Liedholm IF's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Luizinho Pesqueira fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Ove Hake made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Bebeto Mendes sent off a good shot on target. Enéas Borges came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Nils Liedholm IF's Birger Kleen. But to his dismay, Birger Kleen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jörgen Bjurström stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Pesqueira City's Orlando Ortiz got a free kick in the 52nd minute. The audience was convinced that Jörgen Bjurström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enéas Borges was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. After 57 minutes of play, Pesqueira City's Bebeto Mendes made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ove Hake was left in no man's land by his defense there! 60 minutes into the game, Marc Juhlin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nils Liedholm IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pesqueira City the free kick. After 60 played minutes Nils Liedholm IF got a freekick which was hit by Marc Juhlin. Ove Hake showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldo Guimarães in the 62nd minute of the match. Nils Liedholm IF's Ove Hake played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldo Guimarães in the 68th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Ronaldo Guimarães made a precise shot to the right of Ove Hake. Nils Liedholm IF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. Ove Hake showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rômulo de Queirós in the 77th minute of the match. Pesqueira City's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ronaldo Guimarães in the 79th minute. It was a well-played corner which Rômulo de Queirós managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 81stth minute of the game Bebeto Mendes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nils Liedholm IF's Ove Hake was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Bebeto Mendes notched a goal, 5-2, to the right of Nils Liedholm IF's Ove Hake. Ove Hake was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Válbson Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Jörgen Bjurström kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Ove Hake showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldo Guimarães in the 92nd minute of the match. 93 minutes into the match, Bebeto Mendes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ove Hake. Nils Liedholm IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bebeto Mendes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-2. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Pesqueira City had won after a very even match.
