Jean Donato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s Jean Donato got control of the ball when Venceslás Lermo tried to sneak it across the goal line. FCSB CUENCA's Frances Jaraba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Veiga in the 12th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Rafael Veiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frances Jaraba was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fred Meirelles in the 15th minute. Jean Donato made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernardo Solo in the 17th minute. FCSB CUENCA's Frances Jaraba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Veiga in the 18th minute of play. A collision led to FCSB CUENCA getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Manuel Navarro hit a great ball. After 24 played minutes FCSB CUENCA got a freekick which was hit by Zunbeltz Albizua. 25 minutes into the match, FCSB CUENCA's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Veiga came free, but Frances Jaraba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of FCSB CUENCA booed when Milan da Freguesia F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Borges didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute Venceslás Lermo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean Donato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ionel Zărnescu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jean Donato came out and tried to block the shot, but Ionel Zărnescu slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 35th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Rafael Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Rafael Veiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frances Jaraba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Rafael Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evaristo Marcos hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Caio Boldrini to strike the kick off in the second half. Frances Jaraba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caio Boldrini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Venceslás Lermo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 96th minute, Caio Boldrini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FCSB CUENCA fans cheered their team off the field, for while Milan da Freguesia F.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
