Spectators: 7713 (Terracing: 5786, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 153) Sydney FC's Bartolomeo Heinlein started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adnan Tilner in the 3rd minute of play forced Lite Finare Lite Bättre's goalkeeper Magnus Hedman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th minute, Martin Dahlin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Magnus Hedman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolomeo Heinlein in the 11th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Bartolomeo Heinlein notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Lite Finare Lite Bättre's Magnus Hedman. Magnus Hedman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 21st minute, Sydney FC's Kees Plappert ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Magnus Hedman. Magnus Hedman yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Bo Sillén fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rasmus Gölz having to interfere. After some careless play in the Sydney FC defense, Martin Dahlin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rasmus Gölz. The Sydney FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rasmus Gölz should have stopped the shot. After 46 played minutes Lite Finare Lite Bättre got a freekick which was hit by Leonard Göransson. In the 47th minute, Leonard Göransson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Martin Dahlin made a kick off. Martin Dahlin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rasmus Gölz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Lite Finare Lite Bättre were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Sydney FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bo Sillén took the corner. In the 55th minute of the match Lite Finare Lite Bättre got a corner. Sydney FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bo Sillén ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Bo Sillén almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sydney FC's Rasmus Gölz did a great save. In the 59th match minute, Lite Finare Lite Bättre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Dahlin to maneuver through the defense. Rutger Lundin charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rutger Lundin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rutger Lundin kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. That made the score 3-2 after 75 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in Sydney FC's zone, Martin Dahlin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rasmus Gölz came out of the goal and Martin Dahlin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 80th minute, Alexander Alstedt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Sydney FC's Thorben Rittmann got a free kick in the 82nd minute. 84 minutes into the game, Hans Kollin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lite Finare Lite Bättre's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sydney FC the free kick. Hans Kollin hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Constantin Ehrgott's late challenge caught a Lite Finare Lite Bättre's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Constantin Ehrgott helped the player get up and apologised. After 86 played minutes Sydney FC got a freekick which was hit by Constantin Ehrgott.
