The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes Hayalim Kedoshim got a freekick which was hit by Lain Mascaran. After a rather tough play, Spartans FC's Fabio Gerbella got a free kick in the 3rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Filiberto Raab got free with Sebastião Catarinense in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A nice corner shot did that Luis Eduardo Schorr got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sebastião Catarinense quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of Hayalim Kedoshim booed when Spartans FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filiberto Raab didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hayalim Kedoshim's Sebastião Catarinense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Hayalim Kedoshim from getting a goal against them. In the 19th minute Gregorio Hermosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florín Hermosilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amado Fanta kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Florín Hermosilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lain Mascaran went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 33rd minute, Fabio Gerbella left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Spartans FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Florín Hermosilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelino Ayaso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gregorio Hermosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hayalim Kedoshim's Sebastião Catarinense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Hayalim Kedoshim from getting a goal against them. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Efraín Ruiz Tagle to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Efraín Ruiz Tagle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastião Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hayalim Kedoshim's Sebastião Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Efraín Ruiz Tagle in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Marcelino Ayaso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sebastião Catarinense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amado Fanta in the 59th minute of the match. The supporters of Spartans FC booed when Hayalim Kedoshim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lain Mascaran didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sebastião Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amado Fanta in the 62nd minute of play. In the 70th minute, Fabio Gerbella hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Florín Hermosilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gregorio Hermosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Luis Eduardo Schorr hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lain Mascaran got free with Florín Hermosilla in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Spartans FC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Fabio Gerbella hit a great ball. After having played for 95 minutes, Gregorio Hermosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hayalim Kedoshim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gregorio Hermosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
