The crowd rose to their feet as Pilar FC's Nicolas Gregory slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ismael Rossell. That made the score 1-0 after 6 minutes of play. Cirilo Micael took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Pascua, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Lluc could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Ismael Rossell made a huge save. Loja S.C.'s Ismael Rossell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remigio Gai in the 34th minute of play. Nicolas Gregory received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Ismael Rossell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 46 played minutes, Pilar FC's Saverio Etxahun shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ismael Rossell came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pilar FC reached it. 47 minutes into the game, Luis-Antonio Barraza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Loja S.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pilar FC the free kick. In the 47th minute, Luis-Antonio Barraza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Lluc to make the kick off. Ismael Rossell came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Pilar FC's Remigio Gai. But to his dismay, Remigio Gai quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After having played for 73 minutes, Victor Peres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Loja S.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Victor Peres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Loja S.C.'s Tomas Villadiego got a free kick in the 75th minute. In the 76th minute Nicolas Gregory shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Rossell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Loja S.C. getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Luis-Antonio Barraza hit a great ball. 80 minutes into the game, Pilar FC's Nicolas Gregory nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ismael Rossell made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Ismael Rossell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remigio Gai in the 86th minute of the match. The supporters of Loja S.C. booed when Pilar FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eriberto Lesardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute Pedro Lluc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Rossell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pilar FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
